Philippines

When I arrived in the Philippines with my good friend Nabil and his lovely girl Laila, we were picked up by his family. They put us up in their house for two days and took us for dinner they also paid for us to go to the water park. Man what service. Then we flew into Cagayan De Oro Nabil's home town, it is actually quite large. I guess I am always looking at similarities between Thailand and everywhere else I go it's kind of weird. There are a lot more run down looking buildings than in Thailand I think it looks that way mainly because of the tin roofs everywhere. Some of the homes are made of woven banana leaves they look really cool. I did a few little touristy type things while I was there. I went to an island called Cameigan where there is an island that is essentially just a sand bar in the middle of the ocean. I saw a waterfall on the same island. I also got pretty badly sunburned tee hee. We went white water rafting that was so much fun. I ate a 18 day old boiled duck egg and gave it a little kiss before I ate it's head off. I helped eat an entire pig, also I ate chicken intestine. All very delicious! Nabil's family is lovely he has three nieces and nephews 1 girl 2 boys, they are sweet I miss them. We went on a family trip to an island called Bohol we spent one day doing tourist stuff all day. We saw the chocolate hills, tassiers the worlds smallest monkey, walked over a suspension bridge, ate on a boat, saw a man made forest, and a couple historic Filipino places. Everyone was bagged when we got back to the hotel room, the next day we went to the beach and did nothing that was nice. Actually in all honesty I spent most of my time doing nothing with Nabz and Laila it was so relaxing.
